Chocolate Lingerie
April 24, 2012
It started out with a rather simple idea. It's Valentine's Day, and your better half is going to bring home some chocolate treats for you. That's almost always the case, even for the founder of Decadence, Audrey Romanski. We are all just hanging around thinking how to lose some weight, so she was able to come up with the idea of chocolate lingerie. Instead of surprising your wife with a box of ordinary and unsurprising chocolates, why not give her some chocolate lingerie?
The proprietor, Romanski, started with this business a few years ago, just operating from her home in Forestdale Avenue situated in Kinnelon, New Jersey, which incidentally is still the main headquarters up to this point in time.

Chocolate Hazelnut Tea
June 27, 2011
The Stash Tea Company makes a trio of “dessert teas”; chocolate hazelnut, vanilla cream, and almond cream. These teas are made with decaffeinated black tea.
I drank my chocolate hazelnut tea one afternoon when I was “in the mood for something.” I didn’t actually know what I was in the mood for, but since I didn’t have my usual chocolate pick me up handy, I thought this tea might do the trick.

Chocolate Facial Mask Recipe
February 22, 2011
One day I came home from work to find my daughter putting lemon juice and sugar on her face. “What are you doing?” I asked. “I’m making my own facial scrub,” she answered, “and next, I’m making pore strips out of gelatin and honey.” There goes my grocery budget!
The practice of using food as a beauty treatment is certainly not new. And for my daughter, the interest in making her own natural products from scratch comes partly from being sensitive to harsh, laboratory made chemicals. Plus, it appeals to her creative side!

Valentines Day Chocolate Car?
February 4, 2011
Bryn was feeling a little pinched for time so I decided to jump in and post something interesting for today.
Friday is typically a "chocolate in the news" day so I spent a little time scouring the internet for chocolate stories that would be worth repeating.
In the past, Bryn has made several posts about large chocolate sculptures. Well, today's feature only looks like chocolate, you can't really eat it. I'm sure you wouldn't want to. But it is still chocolate art!

Wearing Chocolate
November 12, 2010
I firmly believe in eating chocolate, not wearing it.
Not so, for the fashion models kicking off the 13th annual New York Chocolate Show. The models walk down the run way wearing outfits made of chocolate.
The New York Chocolate Show is one of the nation’s largest events dedicated to chocolate.
More than 65 fine chocolate companies are featured and will present an assortment of fine chocolates.

Chocolate Boat
October 1, 2010
You know, on Fridays, I like to post something about a recent chocolate news story to help round out your overall chocolate experience.
So I ran across this interesting tidbit a couple days ago. Is it actually news or just silliness? You decide...
A French chocolatier made a strange creation out of chocolate - a real seaworthy chocolate boat. I think this redefines the definition of a "functional food."
He did this to win a bet. I guess necessity is not always the mother of invention. You have got to check out the video of this chocolate vessel and its maiden voyage.

Chocolate Art: to Eat or Not to Eat?
June 28, 2010
Certainly there is an art to making chocolates. A chocolatier brings creativity, craftsmanship, and personal style to every creation. Chocolates are meant to be visually appealing and exceptionally enjoyable to eat.
From my perspective, put the emphasis on eat!
But here’s a twist: what about chocolate art you don’t (or can’t) eat?
Need an example... An art exhibition featuring miniature chocolate replicas of China's ancient terracotta warriors opened this week in Taipei.
