Ritter Sport is a pretty familiar chocolate brand world-wide. That’s not surprising since they’ve been around for more than 100 years! Founded in 1912, the Ritter family has owned and operated the chocolate company, and today, selling chocolates in 100 countries around the globe.
As part of the current Milk Chocolate Lover’s blog series, I’m tasting Fine Milk Chocolate from their Classic line. This bar has a cacao percentage of 35 and is sourced from Ecuador.

Lindt & Sprüngli (most commonly known as Lindt) is an international company selling chocolate products around the world in more than 80 countries. They are a bean to bar manufacturer going all the way back to 1845 with founder David Sprüngli-Schwarz and his small confectionery shop in Zurich's Old Town.
In 1949, Lindt's Master Chocolatiers created the Lindor recipe. An outer chocolate shell wrapped around a melt-away center. Lindor is one example of a chocolate truffle.

In fact, my future husband introduced me to my first Lindt bar. We’d only been dating a month before he left on a college trip over the winter holidays. I was very impressed when he returned to campus with a large quantity of assorted Lindt chocolate bars.
He carefully rationed each bar so we could appreciate them for the rare luxury they were and make them last as long as possible...
