NibMor Organic Daily Dose – Mint Dark Chocolate
June 28, 2018
NibMor (short for Nibble More) chocolate snack company makes small, 0.35 ounce squares of chocolate perfect for nibbling. They call it “Our Daily Dose” and it’s intended to be just the right amount for a delicious and healthy snack or end-of-meal treat.
My daily dose is a 72% dark chocolate with cacao nibs and mint.
How Does NibMor Mint Taste?
The dose is very minty - which is all right with me! - and the nibs are nice and crunchy.
The chocolate, when it punches through the mint, has rich, roasted notes with a bitter finish. It’s necessary to have a certain bitter intensity so that the chocolate can be tasted through the strong, and mostly overpowering, mint. I attribute the nibs to bringing in the bitterness. After all, nibs are 100% cacao.
The chocolate is not too sweet, and together with the nibs, the overall impression is balanced with the mint.
According to their website, www.shopnibmor.com, NibMor was created by Heather Terry and Jennifer Love in New York City, 2009 in Heather’s kitchen. They started the company because they couldn’t find “…an affordable chocolate option with the health attributes they were looking for”.
Today, NibMor is committed to providing “..better-for- you chocolate so that you can indulge mindfully every day”.
I love indulging. And if I can do it mindfully, all the better! The small size is definitely conducive to eating mindfully. But it’s not just the snack size portion that helps, it’s the fact that it satisfies.
Just one teeny problem. I feel like I should nibble more!
Prices seem to swing a little wildly from product to product on Amazon, but you can take a look.
