Moser Roth 70% Dark Chocolate
December 26, 2016
Here’s another chocolate from Moser Roth brand out of Germany. Locally, I buy it at my Aldi store.
The brand name Moser Roth started in 1902, and by 1910, was the largest chocolate factory in Stuttgart, Germany.
It employed as many as 550 people. Through the years, the Moser-Roth name has passed through many owners. The current owners are Storck, and they produce chocolate for Aldi in the U.S.
Review of Moser Roth 70% Dark Chocolate
The Moser Roth 70% dark chocolate is lightly fruity, with a hint of spice and wood.
It melts nicely and feels creamy in the mouth. The snap and color are good.
It’s definitely a basic 70% bar. I fear, however, that if I eat it often enough, it might become forgettable. Thankfully, though, that day has not arrived.
I’m not too worried about getting bored with Moser Roth chocolates in general. They have so many varieties - I should be able to keep enjoying their chocolate for quite some time.
The large size Moser Roth chocolate bars are contained in a cardboard outer package, similar to Lindt or Ghirardelli, but instead of being one solid bar, there are five small, individually wrapped bars inside.
Overall, I like this bar in spite of being pretty ordinary. I also like the fact that Aldi sells these chocolates at a really affordable price. And I like the mini-sized bars all in one package.
Put all these “likes” together and it’s a perfect way to share a good chocolate!
