How To Make A Chocolate Martini

Do you need a quick feel-better drink to end a long day? How about vodka and chocolate? Well, we already know that chocolate makes us feel better, but combining it vodka might just hit the sweet spot. Here is a quick and easy recipe to try on some nights when you just need a night cap.
Ever wonder who invented chocolate martini? Well, it was believed that classic movie star Rock Hudson was the first one to create the recipe. In 1955, he and Elizabeth Taylor were filming Giant in Texas. The two friends shared a love for chocolate and martinis, then one night they added chocolate liqueur and syrup to a vodka. Thus, the birth of the popular dessert cocktail.
To make it, you will need a cocktail shaker, a martini glass, chocolate liqueur, Baileys Irish cream, ice, and vodka. You may also opt to add chocolate syrup and shaved chocolate for garnish.
Chocolate Martini Recipe What you need:
What to do: Place the martini glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes to chill. Garnish your glasses by drizzling chocolate syrup inside in a spiral motion. (optional) Using a cocktail shaker, combine ice, Baileys, chocolate liqueur and vodka. Shake well and strain the mixture. Split into two glasses; top with chocolate shavings, then serve. For extra oomph, add cherry on top! |
Easy, right? This recipe will make 2 glasses but if you want to make more, then simply adjust the ingredients accordingly.
