Hotdog with Chocolate Eclairs!

Many events and occasions around the world are characterized by monumental happenings such as appearances of world famous actors and actresses.  Often times, unique and sometimes bizarre food and treats. This is true in different countries and through varying cultures.

The recent Canadian National Exhibition showcased a wild yet enticing new treat.  While millions of Americans were preparing for their Labor Day celebrations with the idea of enjoying hotdogs on the grill, a Canadian company elevated the traditional sausage in a bun experience to a new level.  They created a hotdog entirely wrapped in a chocolate éclair!  What!?

The famous and world renowned Maple Lodge Farms were the brains behind this rare treat. The hotdog was served in a sliced chocolate éclair and was topped with an array of sprinkles and whipped cream.

In one survey of ranking food on a scale of its craziness, the said treat was even crazier than its predecessors, namely, the Luther Burger (a bacon cheeseburger that utilized glazed donuts for its bun) and the Luther Double Down (composed of fried chicken meat being used as bun for bacon and cheese).

This news might be shocking, but this isn’t the first time that Canadians have gone to the extreme. Just this July, one Canadian vendor had an idea and began selling what he called ‘double bacon fried corn dogs.’

Needless to say, people all around the world crave for new tastes.  In the process they up come up with brilliant (OK, interesting) ideas about different food combinations and preparations. These efforts, or at least knowledge of them, have been made possible by the ever increasing influence of social media on the food industry.

OK, now I'm sure you want to try this yourself.  Making your very own chocolate éclair hotdog doesn’t cost much or take a lot of work. Simply cook a hot dog.  Slice an éclair in half the long way.  Lay the hotdog on it, and then garnish it with some sprinkles.  Top it all off with whipped cream. Anything else you'd like to add is up to you! Why not make one right now?  Yum?
