Designer Azature Pogosian, the jewelry designer who has black diamonds as a specialty, is all the rage in Hollywood. Hollywood A-listers such as Beyoncé, Rihanna, Fergier, Scarlett Johansson, and Miley Cyrus, among others, have been seen sporting his designs down the red carpet.

In 2007, he was able to launch his upmarket jewelries and has added an up-to-date fashion jewelry line, AZ by Azature, which you can get for $50-$850. In Houston, for a showcase of his collection at the St. Regis Hotel through Saturday,  "The Black Diamond King" has also ventured into the chocolaty world. The designer has recently launched a high-end line of black-diamond pralines hand-made out of the rare "Wild Treasure" cocoa bean.

Azature came up with chocolate collection, just like his diamond collection, by accident. According to the designer, it started out as a "thank you" gift to his celebrity clientele that have been supporting him ever since. He decided to give them a box of chocolates that had something to do with diamonds, hence he came up with such shape. He also found out about the Wild Treasure, which is a special kind of cocoa that has been said to only grow 3-4 months every year in Bolivia. You can get box of 4 for $18 at www.azaturechocolates.com.

After having sent out all the "thank you" gifts then orders for parties, weddings, and events, started coming in. People were incessantly asking him for that particular kind of chocolate.

The packaging comes in a jewelry box to make buyers feel they are getting actual diamonds. The different colors depend on the various diamond colors, and they represent a variety flavors, as well. The chocolate collection consists of eight different flavors, such as chai and champagne.

However, there is only one that has Azature's signature on it, which happens to be the only one that's not a diamond.  It is a special white chocolate. The designer said it was for his own happiness, given that he did not want white chocolates that were tad too sweet.
