Easy Dark Chocolate Fudge with Sea Salt and Lime
September 11, 2013
Know anyone who has a sweet tooth and you want to give them a gift? Look no further! This recipe is unbelievably easy to modify so you can work with it using your favorite flavors.
This has lime and sea salt flakes but you could throw some dried chili flakes in while you’re melting the ingredients for a good kick. Better yet, put some chopped pistachio nuts or some chopped up Dime Bars, whatever tickles your fancy.
This certainly isn't your crumbly fudge, it is totally rich and squidgy. You can leave some without lime and sea salt, and it would be heavenly to add into a mug of hot milk for the ultimate hot chocolate.
Easy Dark Chocolate Fudge with Sea Salt and Lime • 14 oz dark chocolate Break or chop your chocolate into smaller pieces and pop them in a saucepan with the condensed milk, butter and vanilla paste. Melt over a low heat stirring frequently so that the chocolate doesn’t burn. Once everything has melted together and is nice and smooth sieve in the icing sugar. Stir until thoroughly combined (you don’t see any white icing sugar). The mixture should be glossy and smooth. Pour the fudge into a tin measuring about 8" x 12" (20cm x 30cm) that has been lined with baking parchment, smooth the surface with the back of a spoon. Sprinkle over some sea salt flakes and finely grated zest of the limes over the top (green bit only, the white pith is bitter). Put the tray in the fridge to set for a couple of hours then remove and cut into bite sized chunks. |
Enjoy! 🙂
