Looking for a fun and easy Easter treat that both kids and adults will love? These Chocolate Easter Nests are cute, crunchy, chocolatey, and super simple to make.
No baking required—just a few ingredients, a little mixing, and you’re all set for some sweet Easter magic.
Chocolate Easter Nests Recipe
What you need:
3 cups of crispy chow mein noodles (or you can use shredded wheat or pretzel sticks)
1½ cups of chocolate chips (milk, dark, or semi-sweet—your call!)
½ cup of peanut butter (optional, but delicious)
Mini candy eggs (like Cadbury Mini Eggs or jelly beans)
Cupcake liners or a muffin tin (for shaping the nests)
What to do:
1. Melt the chocolate (and peanut butter, if using)
Pop the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 20–30 second bursts, stirring each time until smooth. If you’re adding peanut butter, mix it in once the chocolate is melted.
2. Add the noodles
Gently stir in the noodles until they’re completely coated with chocolate. Be careful not to crush them too much—you want that fun, nesty texture.
3. Form your nests
Spoon the mixture into cupcake liners or a greased muffin tin. Use the back of a spoon or your fingers to make a little well in the center of each one. That’s where the candy eggs will go!
4. Chill
Pop the nests in the fridge for about 30 minutes, or until they’re firm and set.
5. Decorate with eggs
Once the nests are firm, add 2–3 mini candy eggs to the center of each one. And just like that—you’ve made adorable little Easter nests! Don't have eggs yet? Make your own using this recipe!
Tips & Variations
No peanut butter? You can skip it or use a nut-free alternative like sunflower seed butter.
Want extra crunch? Try adding a handful of chopped nuts or toasted coconut to the mix.
Make it a craft activity! Let the kids build and decorate their own nests—it’s messy but fun!
