Chocolove Raspberries in Dark Chocolate

The Chocolove brand Raspberries in Dark Chocolate is a 55% cocoa Belgian chocolate bar with freeze-dried raspberry pieces.
The texture is smooth, and melts in your mouth evenly. The crispy pieces of tart raspberries add a great burst of flavor that blends very well with the chocolate. And, the chocolate has enough sweetness to keep the tartness of the raspberry in check.
The finish has a lingering, light raspberry mingled with a few soft cocoa notes. Absolutely delicious!
Most of you know that dark chocolate contains flavonoids as powerful antioxidants. So do raspberries!
Several research studies have shown a positive connection between eating flavonoids in berries and improved memory. There’s also evidence that they delay the decrease in cognitive ability related to aging.
Furthermore, flavonoid-rich foods, like raspberries and chocolate, can lower risk of developing cardiovascular disease.
Raspberries are also high in vitamin C and the antioxidant zeaxanthin, which filters out harmful blue light rays, keeping eyes healthier and providing protection against UV light damage.
While these raspberries are freeze-dried, and may contain slightly lower amounts of some vitamins, they are still rich in antioxidants. I have read that many researchers feel the amount of nutrients lost from freeze-drying is pretty small.
