Bittersweet Dark Chocolate Sauce Recipe

What you need:

  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 3 ounces unsweetened dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt

What to do:

In a medium saucepan, combine cream, brown sugar, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and let the mixture simmer. Continue whisking until mixture is smooth with no lumps.

Remove from heat and add chopped chocolate and vanilla extract. Let it sit for about 30 seconds then stir to melt the chocolate. Serve warm.

And that’s it! For storage tips, refrigerate for up to 2 days and then rewarm over very low heat. But I'm sure it will all be gone before that! 😊
