August 5, 2015
Can you blame us for being obsessed with s'mores?
It's an American campfire tradition as delicious as apple pie.
This recipe lets you bring the fun indoors, so you don't have to miss out on your favorite backyard treat on those rainy, hot, or bug-gy summer nights.
And, did you know there are so many fun variations you can use for making s'mores?
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
- Take a note from Elvis and add peanut butter, bacon, and banana.
- Ditch the graham cracker and use your favorite chocolate chip cookies instead.
- Swap out the chocolate for Nutella.
- Try topping your s'mores with salted caramel for a savory kick.
Tradition has its place, but why not let your creative juices flow?

Baked Chocolate Marshmallow Treats
Preheat oven to 500°. Place cracker halves on an ungreased cookie sheet. Top each half with two 1-inch squares of chocolate. Add marshmallow half on top of chocolate. Bake until marshmallow roasts, about 2 minutes. Serve open faced. May also be served "sandwich style" by placing another half of graham cracker on top. |
Enjoy! 🙂
